Subject: Hey Ruby Red
You're an idiot this is the only Hey Jude by brent, hey he tried it and it didn't work out so well. Big deal. Jerry is crushing them out of the park left and right. Maybe the best latter day Baby Blue, simply a stunner.

Subject: brent kills this
I have a hard time listening to brent, his hay jude takes the band down a knotch and his playing is so corny, lets face it American Idol is more progressive than this type of cover.

Subject: My First Shows!
These were my first shows I went in to see the band...I had been to Alpine Valley and spent three days partying in the parking lot while it poured for 3 days, with a few spots of Hot Sunshine! Don't ask! But, these being my first time inside I feel very close to this show and the song selection.

The first night I would say was a primer...and the second night was magical! I felt like this was my blueprint for my tour...Final Believe it or Not...and Final Hey Jude-Fantasy-Hey Jude...I only saw 3 more Brent shows and I followed them to the end of tour.

Sounds Great! Crank it!

This was by far one of the best shows I ever saw. I have recently recieved DVD's of this show that quickly bring all the memories back. Both of these shows were largely skippoed by the hordes due to the border crossing. The venue was very fan friendly with a guy on a PA system relaying messages for wayward travelers trying to reconnect with friends at the venue. The shows were no disapointment either. The first night smoked with the band clearly pulling back post d/s to reserve something for the next night. The 22nd was amazing. Near flawless performance with all members pushing the boundries. Many will gravitate to the Hey Jude bust out but the clear highlight of the show is one of the most amazing Scarlet-Fire's I've ever heard. Jerry's MIDI work on the transition still sends chills down my spine. Other notables is an enspired BIODTL and the rare apperance of Jerry's Believe It Or Not. A song largely shelved after the summer '88 tour that proves to be a great momentum builder like Dew or the latter addition SOTM. Carla, Luca, Andy, Sue, I miss you all and think of you everytime I recall these shows and the tour at large. "Tell the folks back home this is the promised land calling"

This show was so sweet. After the explosion the night before, what could they pull out next....This show, they always knew what to do, Jerry even got to get IMHBTR in there, Scarlet>Fire..Yes!! so groovy, so soft, a magical heal from the heavy heavy heavy mindjourney the night before...Jerry bust a string i think some time in second set, I cant remember, although it didn't faze him...he kept right on playing... Two of the best shows i saw that year.... Peace

Subject: DRUMZ
They let anything and everything be brougt into this show. Many drum circle kids brought their drums into the show and went F'n crazy at the set break. When Micky and Billy came back from the break they joined in too. In my opinion, this energy fueled this top notch Scarlet>Fire, love the energy in Jerry's vocals! Usually more of a guitar/bass guy but the drums were extra sharp at this two night run.

I am thoroughly impressed. The boys are in a good space this magical day. Too bad it was soon after this show that we began to recognize that the times were a changin. S>F A++ YEAH MATRIX!!!!

Subject: damn fine 2nd set
1st off yes there is a great video of this that has been redone w/better sound than mics on a camcorder. I love the Scarlet>Fire and while the Jude is botched I love the attempt and the Fantasy after. The Jude reprise is funny because Jerry is changing a busted string through most of it. Neat show nice energy

A nice effort before things really started to go downhill from here. Love the effects Jerry puts on his guitar during Fire. That truely is one of the best Scarlet solo's and segeway's into Fire. Is it fast or are the Dead just hyper?

" > " Stands for whats going on during the transition from Scarlet to Fire on this must-have matrix tape. Jerry freaking kills it during Fire, check it out. Also, there is something amazing about this mix as well. Its one of the few matrix's I really prefer over a crunchy board. Really captures the acoustics of being in the venue.

Subject: good show
This one has been floating around for years. Would have been 5 stars if not for Believe It Or Not, which could go down as the worst garcia tune ever.- yes, even day job and lazy river road.

Good show.

Subject: Relaxed Canadaaahhh
People hardly ever mention this but, Billy (especially) and Mickey had a wicked show. They really add that "tightness" to the sound, sometimes. Hear the BIODTL and the Sugar, to see what I'm talking about.

But DO NOT miss the Scarlet Fire transition - even though it is really fast paced, everybody's on! (of course, what we all want to know is - is jerry on? he is)

I felt that this show sounded a little better vs. the SBD that's posted. Seems to have more volume and energy. I don't know let me know what you think

Subject: Vhs
I used to have a Vhs tape of this show that was taped from the second level. It was pretty good for how far away the guys camera was,the sound sucked of course. We found a good board of the show and would watch this show and listen to the ol maxell xl2s.During Hey Jude Brent is all over the place and his head falls on his keys, what a sight,Where is that old tape?
This is great quality.
Scarlet,Fire,Samson,BELIEVE IT OR NOT!
Four rare songs in a row in the 1st set.[Easy2love>Last Time]
This was the best spring tour!!!!!
I wish this site also had video footage for every show,imagine....
1st Hey Jude since 3.1.69 [deadbase]
So many good shows this year-Spring>New Years

Subject: Best ever post 1977 Scarlet>Fire and.....
When you listen to this Scarlet>Fire, you quickly realize Jerry's dialed in. His mastery of the MIDI is insane. He runs through so many different sounds (instruments), you forget Fire hasn't started yet. All 3 solos in Fire also are extremely well executed. This was the version that appeared on the 5CD set "So Many Roads"

The Truckin'>Drums>Space>Other1 is also worthy of note. The energy level during Truckin' is at it's best. I went to the 2 Hamilton shows and I must say Jerry was all over the stage, if you will. He was dancing, bopping and grooving during the 2nd set like I've never seen before. Aerobics at it's finest!
Reviewer: rhelmet1 - - December 5, 2004
Subject: Good show but volume levels plummet.
This is a fantastic performance but the volume levels dramatically plunge in the second set. I'm not sure if this was a SBD issue or something that happened in mixing the SBD and audience. Either way, I found myself pretty bummed when the second set started.

Subject: All time favorite show!!!
This show is amazing. This matrix recording is pretty phenomenal as well. Often I like soundboards, but this show you really should hear some of the crowd's immense pleasure at hearing this killer show.

Subject: Song Titles now changed
The original song titles were from a diiferent night. The music was there and coorect order but the song titles were wrong. This has been corrected.

Subject: Wrong files BUT....
Great show...one of the best I saw outta the roughly 50 that I was at...Brent was magical, Jerry was on Fire and speaking of Fire the transition between Scarlet>fire is the best one of all time!!! that's right ALL TIME!!!!!!

two things: 1) Thank you Jerry
2) download it and spread it around!

Cheers
